Healthy Eating, School Garden, Outdoor Learning and Hands-on Learning

It’s Healthy Eating Week at the moment and we have been focusing on what’s heathy for our bodies and minds.

Recently, 3rd and 4th Class did a “Sugar Shocker” to see how much sugar was in certain foods we eat.

We have been busy planting in our school polytunnel and raised beds. It’s great to see lettuces, beetroot shoots and other vegetables appear. Our potato plants are starting to grow too. We look forward to cooking some delicious meals with these soon!

We love outdoor learning and really see its benefits for the children. Here you will see the Infants making picnic benches for us all to enjoy, and some older students using the outdoors to expand their maths knowledge.
